Building Security

Project:  Building Security

Developed by: CreativityCorp Pty Ltd

Description: A building security template to gather information in the field and export to Excel or HTML.  While the Building pages don't show images of building plans, they can be added as Layout Image points. Many building pages can be generated from this template. Copies of the building security project file can be made for each major building complex, eg HighSchoolA.ppc; the Pocket PC can hold many of these.

Guidance notes:  Each page and point can support guidance information; for example, the main security issues for each building, or information on previous security breaches.

Copyright:  CreativityCorp Pty Ltd, but there is no limit to modification by users, this is a major strength of the Pocket PC Creations system. Make a copy, and enjoy modifying in Pocket PC Creations to set up your security report, the free online Skills tutorial provides support.

Cost:  Free, email contact@creativitycorp.com for your copy of the project.

Note there are five buildings in this template, modify the template to the particular property circumstances.

The Operation page makes use of the drop list point function, but the Outlook point could also be used, importing details from Pocket Outlook.

The Building page points can be copied and pasted, and so can the page. The software can support hundreds of buildings and features. Note the real time logging of security checks. A plan of the buildings can be presented as a Layout Image point. See an example of the use of image points with the 'Wanted' images in Breathalyser.

Selection points are good for multiple selections, drop down lists add further choices and the opportunity to write information. See the Skills tutorial to learn how easy it is to modify this template and to set up many other applications.

Generate Excel spreadsheet reports in seconds (see below). The last thing security officers want after a tough night shift is tedious paperwork and reporting.

The reports can also be exported to HTML in an instant to view and print, and through an ODBC channel to Access, SQL and other databases.

Results of previous security activity can be taken back to the field in Excel on the Pocket PC.
